Lily Allen says she is going to take legal action against the News of the World after the newspaper published a story claiming the singer 'encouraged' youngsters to take drugs.
The Sunday rag quoted an interview Lily carried out with Dutch magazine Revu and alleged the singer had said drugs may not harm young people and the only way to find out was by trying them.
The paper quotes the 23-year-old as saying: “Parents should say, ‘Drugs might seem fun, but they do funny things to your brain. Some people react to it good, some don’t. Try it and see what you think’.”
In a post on her Twitter page yesterday, Lily strongly refuted the story, saying: “Phoning my lawyers and taking legal action, news of the world need a better dutch translator, as if I would say that (about drugs). And they know it...”
An hour later, she wrote: “Wont let the c*nts ruin her day. I scored the tripple (sic), single, album and airplay. couldn't be happier, thank you , it's not me it's you.”
