Lily Allen dazzled at a 'secret show' in New York last night, marking the first time she has performed in America since being banned from the country.
The singer had her US visa revoked in 2007 after attacking a photographer outside a London club. She eventually had to undergo health checks to make sure she wasn't on drugs to get her permit back.
Resplendent in a red dress, the singer was in a jubilant mood from the offset as she performed tracks from her new album 'It's Not Me, It's You' to the rammed-to-the-rafters Bowery Ballroom.
Allen commented on her Twitter page today: “Gig last night was amazing, if I say so myself.”
The show was the first of three exclusive Myspace gigs which are being filmed on her website. Locations and dates of shows in London and Tokyo are yet to be announced.
In other Lily Allen news, her single 'The Fear' and album 'It's Not Me, It's You' both look dead certs to top the UK charts this weekend.
