Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has said it is only a matter of time before he becomes Prime Minister.
The guitarist revealed that he had already developed a five-year plan for the country, which he promised would be a “proper, proper laugh”.
He also criticised the public speaking skills of the UK's current Labour leader Gordon Brown.
“There will be a groundswell of public opinion sooner or later which will carry me into office,” Gallagher told Absolute Radio's Christian O'Connell.
“And let me tell you, I’ll only be there five years and it’ll all end in tears - but it will be a proper, proper laugh while it’s happening.”
He added: “We haven’t had anyone since Tony Blair that can get up there and speak well.”
Gallagher famously visited Blair at Number Ten Downing Street in 1997 – a meeting he later claimed took place because of his left-wing upbringing.
"Our parents always drummed into us that the Labour Party was for the people and the Tory Party was not," he said of the meeting.
"I went to meet the Labour prime minister. Period."
