Julian Lennon, the son of former Beatle John, has denied that he and his half-brother, Sean, are to play together.
A report by Fox News columnist Roger Friedman yesterday (January 29th) claimed the pair were to play at the UN Millennium Goal Awards on February 26th.
However, in a message on his MySpace blog, Julian wrote: "Sorry to say, but the news today about Sean & I playing together at the UN Awards came directly out of Roger Friedman's ass!"
"Do they ever tell the truth at FOX? He/they didn't even attempt to get in touch with either of our reps or the producers of the UN event to find out whether this story was true or not.”
John Lennon was killed on his doorstep in New York in 1980.
You can see a selection of rare shots of John Lennon ,currently on display until March 2009 at the Beatles Story’s ‘The Many Faces of John Lennon’ exhibition, below.
