Amy Winehouse's home in London was burgled yesterday (January 29th) while the singer was on holiday in the Caribbean.
Thieves are believed to have taken £15,000 worth of items, including a flat screen TV and five “irreplaceable” guitars.
Police were called to Winehouse's Camden residence at 4am yesterday morning following reports of a break in at the property.
Two men, who are believed to have smashed through a padlocked door, fled before police arrived at the scene. No arrests have been made.
Winehouse's spokesman confirmed to Gigwise that a break in had taken place at the singer's house.
Winehouse is expected to due to return for the island of St Lucia this weekend to begin recording her third album.
A source told The Sun newspaper the singer was “devastated” about the burglary.
“Some of the guitars are irreplaceable due to their sentimental value. The flat is in a real state. It had been cleaned up in preparation for her return.
“Now she will have to start from scratch to replace what has been stolen.”
