The Strokes' drummer Fab Moretti has revealed that the band have started work on their fourth album.
Moretti told BBC 6Music that frontman Julian Casablancas was writing songs for the record, which will be the follow-up to 2006's 'First Impressions of Earth'.
"Julian has started writing and Nick has got some material as well,” he said.
“We're the kind of band that it's not finished until everyone's in one room and everyone's got their parts perfectly. We're a very mechanical band."
The Strokes are expected to enter the studio next month to begin recording the album.
Previous attempts to make the record have stalled due to each band members' other commitments.
