The prosecution has rested its case in the murder retrial of Phil Spector, the music producer famed for developing the Wall of Sound recording technique.
Their final witness was Donna Clarkson, the mother of the B movie actress Lana Clarkson who was shot at Spector's home in 2003.
Clarkson told the court she had spent her last day with her daughter shopping, and that the actress had spoken about reviving her career.
Spector is accused of shooting Clarkson at his Los Angeles mansion on February 2rd 2003. He denies the charge.
His defence lawyer Doron Weinberg claims that Clarkson shot herself as a result of her struggling acting career.
The defence is due to begin presenting its case on Monday (January 26th).
The original trial last year resulted in a hung jury.
