Elbow collected the Pop prize at the South Bank Show Awards in London last night (January 20th).
The Mercury prize-winning band beat singer/songwriter Laura Marling and Estelle.
The award caps a phenomenal twelve months for the group - and their latest album 'The Seldom Seen Kid'.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Elbow have been nominated for three BRIT Awards for Best British Group, Best British Live Act and Best British Album.
Guests at last night's South Bank Awards included Razorlight, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
The annual awards ceremony pays tribute to artists from the world of music, television and film.
