The nominees for the 2009 BRIT Awards will be announced at a ceremony in London tonight (January 20th).
Kings of Leon, Coldplay and Take That are among a host of the acts tipped to be shortlisted for prizes.
Categories include Best British Album, Group and Breakthrough Act, as well as a host of international awards.
As previously reported on Gigwise, The Pet Shop Boys have already been named Outstanding Contribution winners, while Florence and the Machine have been named Critics' choice.
The BRIT Awards ceremony on February 18th will be hosted by Kylie Minogue and the Gavin and Stacey actors James Corden and Mathew Horne.
Kings Of Leon, Duffy and U2 are among the acts scheduled to perform at the event.
