Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has called on the owners of Manchester City football club to complete their move for the Brazilian Kaka.
The football club, which was recently bought by the Abu Dhabi United Group, is understood to considering an offer of £100million for the AC Milan star.
Gallagher, who is a life long fan, said the speculation around Kaka's possible transfer had “dominated” conversation backstage at their gigs.
“Looks like the Sheiks are starting to put their money where their mouths are," the guitarist wrote on his blog.
He added: “So it looks like Robinho really was just the start. Colossal amounts of money are being talked about. Obscene, some have said.
“Ferguson's face was a picture in his press conference yesterday though. That in itself was worth £100m. He looked shell-shocked”
Gallagher said the football club's owners should ignore critics who have argued that the player's current value is too high.
“Bring it on, I say. **** morals. **** [Arsenal manager] Arsene Wenger and his socialist football nonsense,” he said.
“**** all that bollocks about the club losing its identity. What identity?? The fact that we've been skint for 30 years?”
If the club's deal for Kaka goes through, the Brazilian would become the world's most expensive, and highest paid, player.
