US R&B singer Beyonce has said she plans to sing an Etta James song for Barack Obama following his presidential inauguration on Tuesday (January 20th).
The singer will perform James’ ‘At Last’ for president Obama and First Lady Michelle at the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball in Washington DC.
The occasion will mark their first dance together as the first couple of the United States.
Beyonce told the Associated Press news agency that the opportunity to sing for the pair was a “dream come true”.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Beyonce's husband, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys and Steve Wonder will also perform.
Mariah Carey, Shakira and Faith Hill are also scheduled to appear at the event, which will be televised by ABC.
An official concert for Mr Obama, featuring U2, Bruce Springsteen and Beyonce, will take place at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC on January 18th.
