Guitar Hero: Metallica Given May UK Release Date

And March in the US...

Guitar Hero: Metallica will be released in the UK this May, it's been announced.

The game includes 28 songs by the band, as well as tracks by Foo Fighters, Queen and Machine Head.

Video gamers will be able to play in venues around the world as Metallica's members using either the single instrument or full band mode.

Publisher Activision said the game, which will be available on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, will be released in the US in March.

Last year, Metallica became the first band to simultaneously release an album via the video game and traditional formats.

As previously reported on Gigwise, Metallica are among this year's inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
