The London Astoria will host one of its final club nights tonight (January 14th), as it prepares to shut for the last time.
The sold out Demolition Ball will feature performances from Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, VV Brown and Drew McConnell.
The venue is being demolished later this month to allow the construction of a new Crossrail project in the capital.
One more event is due to take place at the Astoria on Thursday (January 15th).
As previously reported on Gigwise, the venue's official closing party, scheduled for January 20th, was cancelled over the weekend.
Organisers Mike and Claire McKay, who also promote Manumission in Ibiza, said it was “ridiculous that such an important venue is being demolished for ‘economic progress’.”
At total of 13 buildings, including the Astoria, will be demolished to make way for the Crossrail, which will provide a train link between East and West London.
