US rapper 50 Cent has claimed that he is a more consistent hip-hop artist than Lil' Wayne.

The rapper has included a lyrical attack on Lil' Wayne on 'Play This On The Radio' - a track from his forthcoming album.

The song includes the rap: "I'm on your heels, Mr. Carter. I heard you. You want me to 'die ugly?' OK. Don't end up on the list, nigga.

“Be a missing person like Cam'ron, like Ja [Rule], like [Fat] Joe. Who wants some?"

Speaking about the track on a US radio station, 50 Cent said it was in response to a Lil' Wayne-endorsed mixtape which surfaced last November.

The mixtape saw Lil' Wayne rap: “I hope you die ugly, and tonight will be gorgeous."

50 Cent said that if the rapper retaliated to his new song he would “drop the bomb on his ass”.

"It's gonna be hard for me to get off him. He's a talented artist, but if you put him in a space when we're in direct competition, my consistency will break his neck,” he told Sirius radio.

As previously reported on Gigwise, 50 Cent's new album, 'Before I Self Destruct', also allegedly features critical song lyrics about Kanye West.
