U2, Beyonce and Bruce Springsteen will all perform at a concert celebrating the inauguration of US president-elect Barack Obama.
The event at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC on January 18th will also feature Usher, Stevie Wonder and Mary J Blige.
George Stevens Jr, executive producer of the concert, said all the artists involved had showed enthusiasm to perform.
"On that first day, we asked Springsteen, Bono and Garth Brooks within a period of 45 minutes and got three `yeses'," he told the Associated Press.
Stevens also said that rather than “a showbiz, glitzy occasion”, the concert would be “rooted in history, remembering the great president [Lincoln] who led us through difficult times."
Obama will attend the concert, which is scheduled to take place two days before he is sworn in as America's first black president.
A host of others shows are due to take place throughout the capital to mark the inauguration.
