Bruce Springsteen said it felt “pretty good” to beat film-maker Clint Eastwood to Best Original Song at the Golden Globes in Los Angeles last night (January 11th).
"This is the only time I'm going to be in competition with Clint Eastwood," Springsteen said as he collected his award for 'The Wrestler'.
Eastwood was shortlised in the same category for his film Gran Torino.
Springsteen's triumph was one of two awards for The Wrestler, with Mickey Rourke also picking up the prize for Best Actor.
AR Rahman won Best Original Score for Slumdog Millionaire, beating fellow nominees Alexandre Desplat for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Eastwood for Changeling.
British actress Kate Winslet was the star of last night's ceremony, collecting awards for Best Actress for Revolutionary Road and Best Supporting Actress for The Reader.
