Jay-Z and P Diddy were among a parade of hip-hop stars who hit the red carpet in New York last night (January 7th) for the premiere of Notorious - the biopic about rapper Notorious BIG.
Beyonce, Ciara, Ja Rule and Mary J Blige also attended the event at the AMC Lincoln Square.
Notorious charts the rapper’s rise to international stardom, which came to a tragic end in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles in 1997.
P Diddy, who acted as an executive producer on the project, told reporters it was “a great day for my man Biggie”.
"People finally get to meet Christopher Wallace when they see the movie,” he said.
“This movie makes you dance, it makes you laugh, it makes you cry and it makes you respect life and appreciate what you have in front of you."
Notorious BIG is played in the film by the actor Jamal Woolard. The movie is released on January 16th.
