Franz Ferdinand will perform live on Jonathan Ross's comeback show on January 23rd, it's been announced.
The band, who release their new album later this month, will join guests Stephen Fry and comedian Lee Evans on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.
The show will mark Ross's return to the BBC following a three month suspension for making prank calls on a radio show hosted by comedian Russell Brand.
Ross and Brand, who resigned over the incident, left a series of lewd messages on actor Andrew Sachs' answer phone.
Lesley Douglas, the controller of BBC Radio 2 and the woman responsible for bringing both Brand and Ross to the station, also tendered her resignation.
Ross, the BBC’s highest paid star, is thought to have lost out on £1.3million during his suspension.
The broadcaster will resume his regular BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday (January 24th), while a new episode of Film 2009 with Jonathan Ross will air two days later.
