Florian Schneider, one of the co-founders of the German electronic act Kraftwerk, has quit the band.
Schneider, who shared a 40-year working relationship with fellow founder Ralf Hutter, gave no reason for his departure.
Hutter is now the only remaining member from the band's original line up. Schneider is understood to be working on a solo venture.
His departure follows the announcement that Kraftwerk will support Radiohead during their Central and South America tour this spring.
