An administrator for Courtney Love has cleared up confusion surrounding the release of the singer's new album, which she had claimed was due out on New Years day.
Fans swamped Love's website on January 1st after she was quoted in an interview with Elle magazine as saying 'Nobody's Daughter' would be available exclusively online.
However, they were left disappointed when the album didn't appear as a download.
On Love's MySpace blog, her administrator said the January 1st release was the original plan - “but guess what kids, that obviously did not happen.”
He wrote: “Some of you guys have expressed your utmost disappointment and I don't blame you for feeling let down, some angry and sad, and as Courtney's Myspace administrator, I felt the need to come on and address the matter.
“The fact is, Courtney Love is a true artist, and as most true artist, the true artist simply communicates from within.
“That special place that Courtney holds so deep, especially for her fans is a really honest haven that exhibits skill, versatility, self-discipline, formal and conceptual rigour, and a commitment to excellence. A commitment to giving you guys the best she has and will give you.”
The administrator added that Love's album would be released later this year.
