Organisers behind the upcoming closing party at London's Astoria venue have revealed that they want Kasabian and The Who to play at the event.
The venue, which in the past has hosted the likes of Oasis and Blur, will be demolished later this month to allow the construction of a new Crossrail project in the capital.
The final club night on January 20th will be hosted by the same promoters responsible for Manumission in Ibiza.
A spokesperson hinted that the line up would feature rock bands as opposed to the pop acts who have come to be associated with the venue.
"We don't want them there. We are hoping to get The Who and Kasabian to perform. It's more that kind of evening,” they told the Independent newspaper.
The new Crossrail will provide a train link between East and West London. The Astoria is expected to move to a new venue.
