Beyonce Begins 2009 On Top Of US Singles Chart

Beyonce has begun the new year by spending a forth week at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100.

The singer's latest single, 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)', was downloaded 382,000 times over the last seven days.

Lady Gaga – one of Gigwise's artists to watch in 2009 – climbed to second on the chart with 'Just Dance'.

T.I.'s 'Live Your Life', which features Rihanna, fell to number three, while Kanye West's Heartless was a non-mover at number four.

As previously reported on Gigwise, Taylor Swift is currently number one on the US album chart.
