The late soul legend James Brown has had a block named after him in New York.
James Brown Way is situated behind the Apollo theatre – one of the venues where the singer made his name.
Brown, who died on Christmas Day in 2006, was honoured after the city's mayor, Michael Bloomberg, past a new law allowing the co-naming of streets.
Other African-Americans recognised under the new scheme include Count Basie, Marcus Garvey and Billie Holiday.
