Eighties pop star Steve Strange is holding last minute talks to take part in Celebrity Big Brother, according to reports.
TV bosses at Channel 4 are said to be keen to add Strange’s “zany character” to the show.
“Steve’s got a murky past and he’s very open with it. He’s not afraid of drama and he’s a captivating character,” a source told the Sun newspaper.
Strange, most famous for his work with the band Visage, won another reality TV show, Celebrity Scissorhands, two years ago.
The singer has battled heroin addiction and was given a suspended jail sentence in 2000 after he was caught stealing a £10.99 Teletubbies doll in Wales.
The latest series of Celebrity Big Brother begins on Friday (January 2nd).
