X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has scored a second week at number one with her cover of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’.
Burke’s debut single was joined by 2006 X Factor champion Leona Lewis, who climbed to number two with a cover of Snow Patrol’s ‘Run’.
Meanwhile, last week’s Christmas number two, the late Jeff Buckley, whose version of ‘Hallelujah’ surged up the charts following a fan campaign, fell to number seven.
Beyonce’s ‘If I Were A Boy’ is at number three, while Kings of Leon round off the top-5 with 'Use Somebody'.
Despite only being released two weeks ago, Burke’s cover is already the fastest selling single of 2008. The song sold nearly 600,000 copies in its first week.
In the album chart, Take That stayed at number one for a third week, while Lewis’s recently re-released debut album, ‘Spirit’, was also a non-mover at number two.
