Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz and his wife, Ashlee Simpson, published the first picture of their baby online over Christmas.
The couple sent the image, which shows them cradling the baby, in a festive e-card to fans.
Under the heading, ‘Happy Holidays - To All Our Friends’, the card said: "We decided to share the best gift we could ever receive with you: Bronx Mowgli Wentz. We couldn’t be happier. “
There had been much speculation over whether the couple would sell the image rights to the child’s first picture since Simpson gave birth last month.
Wentz and Simpson met in 2006 but only confirmed their engagement at the beginning of April this year.
They exchanged vows a month later in front of approximately 150 family members and friends at Simpson’s parent’s home in San Fernando Valley.
