Tracks by Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce Knowles and Jack White are among 49 listed for Best Song at next year's Oscars.
Springsteen has been longlisted for his contribution to the movie The Wrestler, while Knowles appears for 'Once In A Lifetime', which featured on the soundtrack to Cadillac Records.
White and singer Alicia Keys are in contention for their James Bond theme, 'Another Way To Die'.
Other artists include Peter Gabriel, Jenny Lewis and M.I.A, while eleven songs from teen sensation High School Music are on the longlist.
Unlike previous years, only a maximum of two songs from each film will be eligible for the shortlist when the 81st Academy Awards nominations are announced next month.
