X Factor champion Alexandra Burke has said she would like to record a song with former winner Leona Lewis.
Burke, who won the most recent series of the talent contest last Saturday, said a collaboration would quash ongoing comparisons between the pair.
“Leona is an inspiration to me. Look where she's come from and where she is now,” Burke told the BBC.
“I'd love to do a song with her one day, the world should see that we are completely different.”
She added: “People are comparing us, but I feel honoured to be compared to her. She is amazing and she's put some great music out there and she's bought a change to this music industry, which I in particular am very happy about it.”
Lewis, who won the programme in 2006, has enjoyed huge success around the world but will be eclipsed in this weekend's chart by Burke's debut single.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Burke's cover of 'Hallelujah' has already sold over 105,000 copies in just over a day, making it the fastest selling digital download ever.
The song is released on CD this Wednesday. CLICK HERE to see other singles in contention for Christmas number one this week.
