Jeff Buckley's cover of 'Hallelujah' by Leonard Cohen has enjoyed renewed success on the UK singles chart despite not being given a physical re-release.
The song has climbed six places to number 43 after contestants sang the track on a recent edition The X Factor.
As previously reported on Gigwise, the winner of the talent contest will also release their own version as a Christmas single.
Buckley's cover originally featured on his 1994 debut album 'Grace'.
It is the second time Buckley's version of the song has enjoyed renewed chart success following an appearance on talent programmes linked to Simon Cowell.
Earlier this year, the song topped the US Billboard download chart after being sung by Jason Castro, a contestant on American Idol.
