Boy George, one of the founding members of Culture Club, has been told today (December 5th) that he faces jail after being found guilty of falsely imprisoning a male escort.
The singer, whose real name is George O'Dowd, is alleged to have chained Audun Carlsen to a wall in his house in Shoreditch, East London.
The verdict, handed out a Snaresbrook Crown Court, caps a dramatic fall from grace for the singer, who in the early 1980s spearheaded the New Romantic movement with Culture Club.
But life has not been all rosy for George O'Dowd - whose colourful fashion sense has gone hand-in-hand with a colourful private life.
To mark today's verdict, Gigwise has taken an in depth look at the Rise and Fall of Boy George.
