Oasis' Noel Gallagher: 'Liam Should Make A Solo Album'

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has urged his brother, Liam, to consider making a solo record.

Noel also told the BBC that he had his own tracks that he wanted to release “separately” from Oasis after they finish touring.

“There are songs that have just fallen by the wayside that are still great but have missed their moment. Like 'Stop The Clocks' for instance," he said.

"That needs to come out soon. At the end of this tour, I'd like everyone to do something separately. I think it would be interesting for our fans."

The guitarist, who is scheduled to tour with Oasis until next autumn, said that his brother could follow his example if he wanted.

"Liam's always the first person to start rushing things. I think if he wants to get back in the saddle that quick, he should do it for himself,” he said.

“He's got tonnes and tonnes of songs."

As previously reported on Gigwise, Noel also revealed that he has no memory of events between 1994 and 1998, arguably Oasis' most successful years.
