Coldplay and Leona Lewis were the best selling artists on the iTunes music store in 2008.
Coldplay's 'Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends' was the store's most downloaded album of 2008 while Lewis's debut single 'Bleeding Love' led the song chart.
Jack Johnson's 'Sleep Through The Static' came in second in the album chart, two places ahead of US rapper Lil' Wayne's 'Tha Carter III'.
Meanwhile, the rapper's single 'Lollipop' was the sixth best selling song of the 2008.
Other artists who released songs which featured on the chart include Katy Perry, Natasha Beddingfield and Coldplay.
Despite a growing number of competitors, iTunes is still the world's biggest supplier of digital music.
