Pete Doherty is eager to reform his former band, The Libertines, according to reports.
The Babyshambles frontman is understood to have watched former band mate Carl Barat perform with the Dirty Pretty Things in Paris last week.
Doherty, who was in the French city to perform a solo show, is said to have attempted to discuss future plans with Barat at the gig.
"Carl thinks it might work, but he needs to be 100% sure Pete won't let him down again before he signs up,” a source told the Mirror.
Dirty Pretty Things are due to play their final gig together at Hertfordshire University later this month. They announced in October that they were to split after just two albums together.
Doherty and Barat recently reunited onstage for an acoustic performance at a pub in North London.
