Status Quo’s Francis Rossi has accused Oasis of looking “bored shitless” onstage.
The guitarist singled out frontman Liam Gallagher, accusing him of pretending to act like a “grumpy” faced 20-year-old.
“We’re from a generation of acts that are very physical, we put physicality into it,” he said.
“But some of the younger bands don’t want to put that physical commitment in, either because it’s not cool at the moment or whatever.
“What always comes to mind is Oasis. They call themselves a rock band and they stand there looking at the floor. Bored shitless they look. I’m not saying they’re a bad band, but that to me isn’t rock ’n’ roll.”
Referring to Liam Gallagher, 36, Rossi told the Sun newspaper: “That fella is still trying to pretend he’s 20 and he’s angry and really annoyed with his brother apparently.
“And he has got a really grumpy face and he has to stand there with the ****ing hump.
“Now, I don’t believe that anymore. I may have believed it some years ago but not still.”
Last week, Oasis were criticised by another veteran act, Mick Hucknall, who suggested the group were an embarrassment to their hometown of Manchester.
But Oasis' guitarist Noel Gallagher hit back, saying Hucknall's comments were "irrelevant as you are from Warrington."

- Status quo need to move around as much as they can or the audience would get bored of the same 3 chords all the time. Oasis, however, do appear to be less electric than before - but they still have the great presence and songs to get away with standing still. Status quo are dated old grandads and don't have the right to talk about Oasis like that.
