Lance Bass has fuelled speculation that the original N Sync line up, including Justin Timberlake, could reform in 2009.
The boy band, who enjoyed huge success in the late 1990s, have been on an extended hiatus since Timberlake left in 2002 in order to pursue his solo career.
However, Bass told In Touch that a full reformation was “a definite possibility”.
“We are like brothers - it's perfect," he added.
It's understood that N Sync are still scheduled to deliver one more album for their record label, Jive, as part of an existing five album deal.
At present, the group have released three studio albums - 'N Sync', 'No Strings Attached' and Celebrity' - and a greatest hits compilation.
Bass's comments may come as a surprise to Timberlake, however, who is due to release another solo album shortly.
