Marilyn Manson, Gary Numan, Madonna: Rock Stars Against Religion

Now that the Catholic Church has forgiven John Lennon for saying the Beatles were “more popular than Jesus”, Gigwise thought it was time to take a look at other music stars who have maintained a controversial stance towards religion.

While there are plenty of musicians – The Killers and the Jonas Brothers – who discuss their beliefs, there's a long list that don't - and let's not forget the ones that don't believe at all.
