Fans of Sir Cliff Richard have vowed to fight a ban preventing them from queueing overnight to buy tickets for his next tour.
Tickets for the veteran singer's 50th Anniversary tour, which will see him reunite with The Shadows, go on sale on Sunday.
But staff at Sheffield Arena, which will host Sir Cliff on October 14th, have told fans not to arrive until morning because of health and safety fears.
“I don’t know any other venue who stops us from queuing for days to get the best tickets. We’re adults,” fan Viv Johnson told the Telegraph.
Johnson, 60, camped out for two weeks in order to get tickets to Sir Cliff's last performance in Sheffield. “We’ve never had any trouble and after a cup of tea we’re asleep by 11pm,” she added.
Simon Bailey, the venue's marketing manager, said staff had a “duty of care” to look after customers, something they wouldn't able to provide out of hours.
“We have no services available such as toilet and wash facilities,” he added.
