New Eminem Album Features 'Stan' Sequel

Producer reveals...

New Eminem Album Features 'Stan' Sequel Add to My Fav Bands List

US rapper Eminem's new album features a sequel to his huge hit 'Stan', according producer Swizz Beatz.

The producer, who called the song 'Stan Part 2', told MTV it was “totally genius”.

Released in 2000, 'Stan', told the story of one of the rapper's obsessed fans and included a sample of Dido's 'Thank You'.

Swizz Beatz has produced a total of five songs which are are inconsideration for the rapper's new album, 'Relapse', which is due next January.

The producer described another of the album's songs, which has yet to be titled and features fellow hip-hop stars Dr Dre and 50 Cent, as a "classic". He added: "It's sounding big."

Asked about the album's overall sound, Swizz Beatz replied: "Different sound, different mindframe. He's clear.

"But it's the Eminem that you missed, that you loved, that you need, especially right now in the industry, going into '09. He's coming back to take the cake."

As previously reported on Gigwise, Eminem's album has been pushed back until next year because he has yet to finalise the project.

The album's main producer, Dr Dre, has stopped working on his own new record in order to work with the rapper.

  • @Gigwise It's because the only way they could get Dave Rowntree to play the drums was to hypnotise him. Too strenuous otherwise, poor chap.
