My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has confirmed that he is to become a father next year for the first time.
The singer's wife, Lindsey, is due to give birth in early summer 2009.
The couple married in September 2007 backstage at a concert in Denver, Colorado.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Way is currently working on a big screen adaptation of his comic book series, The Umbrella Academy.
He also recently revealed that My Chemical Romance would be taking a long break before recording to the follow-up to 2006's 'Welcome To The Black Parade'.
