American Music Awards 2008 Highlights: Kanye West, Chris Brown, Rihanna

Kanye West was one of the big winners last night (November 24th) at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles.

West won Favourite Male Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and Rap/Hip-Hop Album, while US R&B star Chris took home three prizes, including Artist of the Year.

The singer also collected Favourite male artist in the Pop/Rock and Soul/R&B prizes – a feet mirrored by his girlfriend Rihanna in the female categories.

Performances at the Nokia Theatre came from Miley Cyrus, Ne-Yo and Beyonce, while Christina Aguilera attempted to steal the show with a hit laden set.

Coldplay and Annie Lennoz, who collected the Award of Merit, prize, also performed at the ceremony.
