M for Montreal was brought to a close last night (November 22) by rapturously received sets by We Are Wolves, Karkwa and Jon Lejoie.
The hometown favourites played in front of a 2,000 strong crowd at the Metropolis alongside Couer De Pirate and Quebecoise crooner Pierre Lapointe.
Earlier in the day Gigwise was mightily impressed by the first ever show of new Montreal septet Red Mass who performed at the legendary Foufounes Électriques venue.
Also on the bill at the afternoon showcase were Quebec’s Hip Hop favourites Radio Radio who drew a large crowd to their energy filled set.
After three days of music many of the bands will now be planning their assaults on Europe and North America.
Expect to see the likes of We Are Wolves, Duchess Says, The National Parcs and Arkells at a venue near you soon.
