The Roots escaped unhurt on Wednesday night (November 19th) after their double-decker bus flipped onto its side after colliding with a van.
The crash occurred on the outskirts of Paris where the group were due to support Kanye West.
Band member?uestlove blogged about the crash to fans shortly after escaping the wreckage.
“Well…since we are sitting on the side of the road, what better way to pass the time while the ambulance comes then to…blog,” he wrote.
From the band's motel later, he added: “In reality the crash was all of about 7 seconds…but to do a 360 on the highway and end up ramped up (the van that crashed into ours was UNDER our double decker bus) in the air…is…well…a frigging miracle.”
He stressed that the group were “happy to be alive” and thanked “divine intervention” for their lucky escape.
The Roots were also involved in a bus crash during their Okayplayer tour in 2000.
