Neil Diamond has revealed that he has begun think about his next album, less than a year aftr the release of the chart-topping 'Home Before Dark'.
Diamond said he recently met with producer Rick Rubin, who produced the singer's last two albums, and that the pair will begin work on January 12th.
Diamond told Billboard they had discussed “an idea we both like” which is "a different concept, a different approach to the album than we've had on 'Home Before Dark' and 2005's '12 Songs'."
But he refused to discuss the concept in detail.
The singer, who topped the UK album charts earlier this year for the first time in his career, begins a 17-date North American tour on Saturday (November 22nd).
