Simon Cowell Slams 'Repulsive' Simply Red Star Mick Hucknall

Music Mogul Simon Cowell has described Simply Red's Mick Hucknall as the “most repulsive celebrity” he has ever met.

Cowell was responding to comments Hucknall made earlier this year in which he said reality TV shows such as The X Factor were damaging the music industry.

“It's benefited one or two individuals - like Slimy Cowell - who've made a fortune, but I wonder how much the actual artistes will make or if anyone will know who they are in 10 years?” Hucknall said in February.

Cowell was asked for his opinion of Hucknall during a question and answer session conducted by former Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan.

He replied: “The most repulsive celebrity I've ever met is Mick Hucknall. Unlike me he doesn't realise why all the chicks love him. And he's really ugly.”

  • I'm not on either side, but "he's really ugly" was an immature and unprofessional comment, but then again, this is a music industry where people say what they want. Besides, we all know who is behind the production of the X factor and who benefits the most. Every contestant must sign a contract before entering the competition, which constrains the freedom to work with other music labels and this is the fact
