Three Stabbed At Urban Music Awards Brawl

Three men suffered stab wounds in London last night during a mass brawl at the Urban Music Awards.

A man has been arrested after one guest was seriously hurt and two others suffered minor injuries.

The trouble, which began shortly after 10pm, forced organisers the cancel the ceremony at the O2 Arena after an hour-and-a-half.

One Eyewitnesss spoke of seeing "blood all over the floor" while another told Sky News that guns had been seen in the auditorium.

The 300 guests who attended the ceremony were held at the Indigo2 – a smaller capacity club inside the arena – before being questioned by police.

Leona Lewis, Adele and Lethal Bizzle were among the artists nominated for awards. At present, it’s not clear whether they were in attendance.

The incident forms part of another weekend of violence across the UK involving knives after two men died of stab wounds in separate incidents in Greater Manchester.

  • really not surprised that this happened. i was working behind the scenes and it was chaotic all day. they had run out of wristbands for workers and were just letting anyone walk in. added to that, there were only 3 security men for the whole venue. a ridiculous number considering there were 2000 people there. there were also no security cameras at all outside. none of the stars mentioned above were there at the time but gail porter was there tending to the critical guy with the nexk wound.

  • What a sham awards! First a shooting, now a stabbing. Does someone have to die before Jordan Kensington pulls the plug on his sham award show? I will never be attending because it attracts the wrong types - gun carrying & knife weilding criminals!
