Drummer Steven Adler wants to return to his former band, Guns N’ Roses, his attorney, Barry Gerald, has said.
Adler pleaded no contest to a charge of heroin possession at Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday (November 14th) in a bid to be spared jail.
Sands told the Reuters news agency that Adler wanted to be undergo a course of rehab before reuniting with his old band mates.
"When he gets sober they'll accept him into the band and then they'll do a comeback album and a world tour, that's the dream of Steven Adler," Sands said.
Adler, who was fired from the band in 1990 because of drug problems, was arrested last July for causing a disturbance at a Los Angeles house.
The LA District Attorney’s office said that if the drummer enters drug treatment his misdemeanor charge will be dismissed. He is due back in court on December 12th.
