A music venue in Essex has received a warning after Paul Weller smoked on stage.
The Former Jam frontman flouted anti-smoking regulations during his gig at the Cliffs Pavillion in Southend last Saturday (November 8th).
"We think the law was breached so we have issued a warning," local councillor Steve Ramm told the BBC.
"We considered the matter but under the terms of our enforcement policy, we have issued the warning to Southend Theatres Limited at this stage.
"If a similar occurrence were to take place in future, we would be likely to take further action."
The Smoking ban came into force in England last year and has so far seen a number of rock stars prosecuted for flouting the ban.
