US R&B star Beyonce has said she would “love” to play the Glastonbury festival after her husband Jay-Z headlined the event last Summer.
The singer said that watching Jay-Z perform in June had been “brilliant” and that the festival's energy “was like something I have never experienced before.”
When asked if she would like to follow in her husband's footsteps, Beyonce replied: "It would be really amazing... I would love to do it."
Jay-Z's performance was praised by critics and fans despite being labelled as a controversial booking before the event.
Speaking to Sky News, Beyonce said she though the rapper “came our and he did good” at the festival.
She added: "I had my wellies and I got my outfit organised but it didn't rain and I wanted the mud.”
Tickets for the 2009 edition of the Glastonbury Festival are currently on sale. For more information, check out the Gigwise Gig Guide.
