Neil Young has cancelled his concert at Los Angeles' Forum venue tonight (October 30th) out of respect for a union picket.
The Forum's staff have gone on strike over a contract dispute with Faithful Central Bible Church – the venue's owners.
Young, an honorary lifetime member of the workers' union International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) said he was “disappointed” that the concert couldn't go ahead.
"I am extremely disappointed to have to choose between satisfying my fans or backing my brothers and sisters of the IATSE," he said.
The concert at the Forum formed part of Young's North American tour. The date will be re-scheduled for 2009, a statement said.
