The Wombats Set To Mock Leona Lewis At MTV EMAs

The Wombats will mock Leona Lewis at the MTV Europe Music Awards next month by performing a cover of one of her songs.

The Liverpool band are set to reimagine the formber X Factor winner's massive hit, 'Bleeding Love', in a punk style.

A source told the Sun newspaper: “It’s going to be a brilliantly ridiculous performance. I think they’ll steal the show.”

The awards ceremony, which will take place in Liverpool on November 6th, will also feature performances from The Killers and Beyonce Knowles.

As previously reported on Gigwise, Coldplay, Britney Spears and Duffy lead the nominations at this year's MTV European Music Awards.

Spears, who triumphed at the MTV VMA's in Los Angeles in September, is widely expected to attended the ceremony, which will be hosted by Katy Perry.

    • They have to do something silly because nobody will remember them otherwise. Pathetic.

    • I swear UK's Favourite Act was voted for by the public anyway, so its not like a stuck up bunch of music critics 'robbed' them.
